Joana Perrone is a Dphil candidate at the University of Oxford. She has a BA in international relations from the University of Sussex and a master’s in women’s studies from the University of Oxford. Her research focuses on how feminicide in Brazil is understood and analysed by the media and what impact that has on public policy. She is broadly interested in studying the interplay between law and society and, besides her research, writes for a variety of media outlets.
