Farzana Adell was born in 1984 in the Bamiyan province of Afghanistan. She has obtained her MBA degree from Cardiff Metropolitan University, UK. She is the founder of the Gender Equality Research Organization in Afghanistan. She has previously worked as Chief of Staff at the Senior Advisory on United Nations Affairs to the president of Afghanistan, Ashraf Ghani. She is a women’s rights researcher, business consultant, electrologist, and make-up artist and has more than 15 years of experience working in different areas with government, local, and international organisations in research of women studies, business management, project management, and corporate social responsibility in Afghanistan.
