María Esther Cervantes has a degree in international relations from Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico, and a master of arts in geography from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. Currently, she is a PhD student in the Department of Geography at the University of British Columbia, studying how the advances in digital technologies contribute to the management of transnational identities and migration decision-making of highly skilled immigrants. She is a researcher at ILDA.
