Rock duo Crown Lands from Oshawa, Ontario released End of the Road as a single prior to the debut of their first full-length album, Crown Lands. Crown Lands received the Juno Award for Breakthrough Artist of the Year in 2021, and were nominated for Rock Album of the Year. End of the Road is a protest anthem about Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG); the music video for the song features narration by Tanya Tagaq.
